A collaborative approach
“Dunoon is a rural town and that comes with both opportunities and challenges. We recognise that women face several barriers to making their business work,” says Hannah Clinch, community connector for the Enterprise in Place programme.
“That’s why we put together this event, a social and informative way of marking International Women’s Day and learning more about some of the amazing women in our community who run businesses and social enterprises, whilst creating opportunities for others.”
Local partners are POP shop enterprises CIC and Dunoon Community Development Trust, working with Business Gateway Argyll and Bute.
This is happening as part of Enterprise in Place, a programme of support designed in partnership with The Melting Pot, Elevator UK Firstport, and Connected Hubs Scotland, and is funded by The Ecosystem Pathways Fund.
