About
Enterprise in Place is an approach to inclusive enterprise support that takes place in a defined community.

Pioneered by Melting Pot Edinburgh and Connected Hubs Scotland network, the approach aims to utilise knowledge networks, skilled people, opportunities and spaces that already exist in a place. Through a co-ordinated approach these assets are directed to women starting and growing enterprises and socially enterprising organisations.

The goal is to create a more responsive, inclusive and greener network of support around enterprising people in alignment with the Pathways: A new approach for women in Entrepreneurship report.

In Dunoon the 2026 / 27 EIP programme is being delivered by Dunoon Community Development Trust and POP shop enterprises CIC, working in partnership with Argyll and Bute Third Sector Interface.

The programme is funded by the Pathways Ecosystem Fund and Argyll and Bute Third Sector Interface.
