Do you want a bit of support to talk through ideas and figure out next steps? Or are you in need of a bit of help solving technical or marketing challenges?

We're here to help.

The POP shop’s Hannah Clinch is one of the new community connectors for the Enterprise in Place project, a place-based approach to supporting female-led enterprise here in Dunoon, which will run between January and March 2026.

Working alongside local partners Dunoon Community Development Trust and Business Gateway, the programme will be informed by the lived experiences of women in our community, who are often developing businesses around care responsibilities and health challenges. These challenges can be big barriers to growth.

With experience of supporting people starting new small or micro businesses, social enterprises and freelancing careers, Hannah also has a first-hand understanding of what it's like to run a small enterprise in a rural setting.

Enterprise in Place is a new pilot programme designed by The Melting Pot in Edinburgh and delivered with Elevator UK, First Port Scotland and Connected Hubs Scotland, and is funded by The Ecosystem Pathways Fund.

"We've been running projects to support women setting up small businesses in Dunoon for several years now. And we've found that tailoring that support to the unique challenges of our rural town is pivotal," says Hannah.

You can read more here about the project and support on offer here, and come along to one of our drop-in sessions or the Coworks Christmas gathering on Saturday, 13 December.

A collaborative approach

Support will be delivered in partnership with The Melting Pot, Elevator UK Firstport, and Connected Hubs Scotlandand is funded by The Ecosystem Pathways Fund.
