About the event

Turn your enterprising ambition into a positive and profitable venture with a little help from a new programme brought to you by POP shop enterprises and Dunoon Community Development Trust, working with the Social Enterprise Academy. A profitable and positive impact

Do you strive to make an income from the things you are passionate about? Does your enterprising ambition include having a positive impact on people and the planet?

We know that doing both can be challenging. We understand that the financial, childcare and rural difficulties you face when setting up a positive enterprise can hinder success.

We also know that our town’s community and economy benefit greatly from local enterprises that have people and the planet at the heart of what they do.

That’s why we’re bringing a new programme to Dunoon that will support people to create positive enterprises in our town, working with Dunoon Community Development Trust and the Social Enterprise Academy.

Called the Positive Enterprise Programme, this two-day and fully funded course is facilitated by Dunoon-based designer and learning facilitator Hannah Clinch.

Who is this course for?
  • People running small charities and looking into income generation.
  • Women starting a new business around care or health challenges.
  • Small businesses who'd like to develop new services or grow.
What's involved?

You will:

  • share your idea with fellow participants,
  • learn a range of simple techniques to develop, test and refine your thinking.

Our goal is to help people feel more confident about their ability to affect and plan for positive changes in our community through entrepreneurship.

This course is fully funded (free to participants) with the support of Argyll and Bute Council and Dunoon Community Development Trust.

Where and when
  • Thursdays 17 and 24 October
